It is law to declare all faults

The Property Practitioners Act is having a significant impact on the realty market.

Section 67 of the Act states it is compulsory for agents to obtain a Property Condition Report (a report fully disclosing any and all faults of a property) from the seller before an agent can accept and/or list a property.

"The solution is to fix as many problems (faults) as possible and to do repairs and maintenance work on a regular basis," advises Zani van Wyk, Principal of Property to Link.
